<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="color: #38761d;"><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Lyme Voices UK</span> </b></span>has
been created for Lyme and other tick-borne disease patients and their
family and friends to show their support for further research,
treatment, and awareness of Lyme disease in the UK. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;">A
group of hard working campaigners is meeting with MPs and health officials at Westminster in November <b>(* date & details to be confirmed* )</b> and
there are many patients who would like to attend the meeting but are
too ill do to so. The aim of this page is to serve as an outlet for them to add their
names, comments and to share their stories and show their support. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;">Hopefully we can show that Lyme disease is not an obscure, rare disease that
only affects a small group of people, but that it is a growing problem
in the UK, and globally, and there are many Lyme patients, and their
families, who have had their lives destroyed by this illness who would
like to see better testing and better treatment for the disease.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;">Please click on the <span style="color: #38761d; font-size: x-large;"><b>"Hear My Voice"</b></span>
tab at the top of the page to add your comment there and to speak up
for increased awareness of Lyme disease and tick-borne infections. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="color: #38761d;"><b>*As the date is soon, but not yet confirmed, please 'sign' ASAP*</b></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;">Please note this is intended as a <i><b>petition-like comments section</b></i>
- we would love to get as many comments as possible to show the support
for increasing awareness, and improving research, diagnosis, and
treatment for Lyme disease. We would encourage anyone affected by the
illness - patient, family, friends - to add their name to show their
support.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;">As
it is open for comment, there is the opportunity to add a little more
information. Please see the (very rough) guidelines on that page.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;">If
you would like to share your Lyme story in more detail, please click on
the tab at the top of the page <span style="color: #38761d; font-size: x-large;"><b>"Share my story"</b></span>. Please follow the guidelines there too, these should hopefully make collecting and presenting information a bit simpler.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Whether or not you
choose to share a more detailed story, please still add your name to the
'petition' comments section and let any friends or family who have been affected
directly or indirectly know they can add their names in support too.</span></b></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: large;">Hopefully
the hard work that has gone into organising this meeting will be
rewarded and we can move forward in the UK with regard to treating Lyme
disease and other tick-borne diseases.</span><br />
